Gravity Launches Steam Early Access for Guild Receptionist Fantasy Simulation 'Galvatein'

Global game publisher Gravity officially kicked off the Steam Early Access launch of 'Galvatein: Adventurers' Guild' (Korean: 갈바테인 : 모험가 길드 사무소), a fantasy simulation title developed by South Korean indie studio BLANBEE, on September 22, 2026.

Departing from the conventional fantasy trope of wielding swords and spells on the front lines, 'Galvatein' places players behind the reception counter of an adventurers' guild. Set against a traditional high-fantasy backdrop, the game combines rigorous document-verification puzzles during daytime office hours with monster-cooking interactions and narrative exchanges each evening.

Daytime Document Auditing and Evening Monster Dining: Receptionist Gameplay

The core gameplay loop centers on the daily responsibilities of a receptionist assigned to the guild's 'Quest Review Department'.

Using a point-and-click interface, players examine documents submitted by visiting adventurers—cross-referencing quest request forms against completion evidence, adventurer credentials, and other presented materials to determine whether quest rewards should be approved or rejected.

  • Daytime Quest Auditing: Players inspect submitted request forms, completion evidence, and adventurer credentials side-by-side, verifying that adventurers fulfilled their commissions properly before making a final decision to approve or reject.
  • Evening Monster Cuisine and Dialogue: After closing the counter, players serve dishes prepared from monster spoils brought in by adventurers. Sharing food provides an opportunity to converse and interact with diverse adventurers, uncovering personal backstories and events across the fantasy realm.

Six Omnibus Episodes and Five-Language Support: Early Access Scope and Pricing

The Steam Early Access build provides a substantial foundation representing approximately half of the planned full-release storyline.

The narrative unfolds in an omnibus structure, with each chapter spotlighting distinct characters and standalone conflicts across the fantasy realm. The current Early Access version includes a total of six omnibus episodes.

  • Language Support: Full interface and text localization are officially available in five languages: Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
  • Pricing and Launch Promotion: The standard retail price is set at 14,000 KRW. Gravity is running a 15% discount promotion through October 6, 2026, after which the price reverts to standard retail.
  • Development Roadmap: BLANBEE and Gravity plan to incorporate community feedback gathered during the Early Access period to refine balance, with subsequent updates slated to deliver remaining story episodes and supplemental gameplay systems ahead of the full release.

Over 100,000 Steam Wishlists and Indie Awards Recognition

Prior to its commercial launch, 'Galvatein' built notable momentum across international showcase circuits and independent gaming competitions.

The title surpassed 100,000 cumulative Steam wishlists before release, drawing strong interest from fans of deductive simulation and bureaucratic puzzlers. It was also featured at prominent global gaming expos, including PAX EAST, PlayX4, and BitSummit PUNCH, earning praise for its novel premise and immersive storytelling.

The project has also accumulated competitive accolades. 'Galvatein' placed in the TOP 5 of the General Division at the 2024 WASD Indie Game Contest (co-hosted by Smilegate Stove Indie and the Gyeonggi Content Agency) and took home the Gold Prize in the Production Division (General Category) at the 2025 Global Indie Game Development Contest (GIGDC), organized by the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA).
