Prompt Master: Open-Source Claude Skill That Writes Tailored Prompts for 30+ AI Tools
Prompt Master (v1.6.0) by nidhinjs is a free open-source Claude skill that turns plain requests into optimized prompts for 30+ AI tools including Claude, ChatGP
An open-source Claude skill called 'Prompt Master' is drawing attention as a tool that automatically generates optimized prompts for more than 30 major AI tools. Published on GitHub by nidhinjs, the skill (v1.6.0) takes a rough plain-language request and sharpens it into a production-ready prompt tuned for each target tool.

Unlike typical prompt generators that simply make prompts longer, it is designed to compress instructions down to their load-bearing essentials, reducing wasted tokens and API credits. With dedicated profiles for 30+ tools — including Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, Midjourney, v0, and ElevenLabs — it outputs a ready-to-paste prompt in the grammar and format each tool expects.
What It Does and Who It Helps
Prompt Master acts as a prompt engineer inside Claude. Users describe what they want and name the target tool, and the skill extracts the actual intent and returns a single optimized prompt for that tool. It also handles editing, improving, and adapting existing prompts for a different tool.
Coverage spans text LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini), coding agents (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot), image and video generators (Midjourney, DALL-E, Sora, Runway), voice (ElevenLabs), and automation platforms (Zapier, Make). It is most useful for developers, creators, and automation builders who switch between AI tools and want fewer rounds of re-prompting.
Install Path, Usage, and Trigger Behavior
The skill is free and open source, published via the GitHub repository (nidhinjs/prompt-master) and the skills-agents directory, where it is listed at version 1.6.0. Check the repository and directory pages directly for the exact install path and supported clients.
A key behavior is its explicit trigger condition: it activates only when the user explicitly asks to write, fix, improve, or adapt a prompt for a specific AI tool. It stays out of general conversation, coding tasks, and document writing, so it never interferes with normal Claude workflows until needed.
Why It Matters Now and Verified Limits
The skill surfaced through an X post by @ai_with_orbit, which packaged this cross-AI workflow as a step-by-step guide "valued at $81, free for 48 hours" behind a reply-gated offer. The skill itself, however, is a free open-source project on GitHub and the skills-agents directory — the paid framing applies only to that author's separate guide, not to the skill.
Its limits are also clear. It optimizes prompt wording itself; it does not lower any tool's API pricing or change model performance. And a tool appearing on its supported list does not mean the skill has verified that tool's latest models or pricing — always cross-check the target tool's official documentation before pasting.
