TestSprite Announces Season 4 Hackathon for AI Coding Tool Users with a $4,000 Prize Pool

TestSprite (@Test_Sprite), an automated software testing platform, has announced its 'Season 4' hackathon opening on October 16, 2026. The event is tailored for developers building software with modern AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Codex, and Antigravity.

The hackathon centers on creating reliable end-to-end testing loops in fast-moving AI coding environments, ensuring that every pull request (PR) is automatically validated and tested before merging.

'One loop. Every PR': Week One Challenge

The core challenge for Week One of Season 4 asks participants to integrate TestSprite directly into their active repositories to establish automated test coverage on every pull request.

  • Workflow Integration: Connect TestSprite into an active repository so automated tests trigger on every incoming PR.
  • Proof of Resolution: Verify the setup with an authentic PR that catches a bug or regression and resolves it to a passing (green) status.

As AI tools like Claude Code, Codex, and Antigravity accelerate development velocity, this workflow is designed to establish consistent automated testing safeguards across real-world codebases.

$4,000 Prize Pool and Open-Source CLI Bounties

TestSprite Season 4 features a total prize pool of $4,000 across two tracks:

  • Top Projects Track ($3,000): Awarded to the top five projects submitted during the hackathon, with $1,500 going to first place. Five creator judges will participate in evaluating and selecting their favorite builds.
  • Open-Source CLI Contribution Track ($1,000): Developers who open issues and submit merged PRs addressing bugs or delivering genuine improvements to TestSprite's open-source CLI receive bounties of $50 or more per merged contribution.

Participation and Schedule

Season 4 officially kicks off on October 16, 2026. Detailed competition guidelines, submission workflows, and community channels are accessible via the official announcement page and Discord community.
